Abrahams Faith Sacrifice:
Every child of God will be tested, God loves to test His children; He tests before He promotes.
Abraham has passed many other tests but this was the ultimate. Abraham was 99 and Sarah was 89 when God appeared and told them they would have a child. When Sarah heard about God’s promise to Abraham, she laughed and God asked Abraham is there was anything too hard for Him to do as the creator of the whole wide world. The book of Romans explains to us that Abraham believed and did not consider the deadness of his body. No matter how dead your situation is as far as you are in faith, there is hope. Ignore what you are going through because there is nothing to difficult for God to do.
Faith has verbal language and body language. Abraham having believed began to do what God says and changed his name from Abram to Abraham. In Genesis 21 God visited Sarah at the ‘set time’. The ‘set time' is the predetermined period for God to manifest His glory. Isaac came forth at the ‘set time’, a time where God fulfils His promise. I decree that your ‘set time’ is near.
How Abraham reacted after receiving the promise:
1. When Abraham begot Isaac, he continued to praise, obey and trust God. No matter what God does in your life, never change your trust in Him.
2. He circumcised his son Isaac as a sign that he has not forgotten the covenant with God.
3. Though Abraham was blessed, he continued to answer the call of God. Gen 22:1.
4. Abraham heeded the call of God and did exactly what God told him to do; he was obedient to God; His obedience was quick and instant. Gen. 22:2-5, 12. – In obeying God, you may not see the end, but God wants you to trust Him.
Do what God asked you to do, for in that comes the promise/blessings. What has God told you to do that you haven’t done? Do it! Abraham did what God told him to do, and today, he is the father of all nations.
There is no amount of Money you can give that will make God richer. God doesn’t need your house, car or money; He just wants to test you. – Make sure you pass the test.
Three things Abraham knew:
1. Abraham knew what God has told him to do.
2. He knows even if his son dies, God can bring him back.
3. Abraham knows that God does what he says he would do.
The place of sacrifice became the place of provision. When you come to the place of ultimate sacrifice, your blessing will be tied with it and nothing can change it.
On mount Mariah we saw what man would do for the love of God, But on Calvary we saw what God would do for he love of man.
